POSITION SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate for the Supply Planner position needs to be a self-motivated and a result driven professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. The Supply Planner must have strong supply planning and MRP experience to be considered for the role, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.
- REQUIRED:
- Proven experience in planning within supply chain or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, with 3-5 years of supply chain experience.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, CPSM).
- Familiarity with custom packaging manufacturing.
- MRP experience and strong production planning knowledge.
- Purchasing experience with strategic supplier management.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory goals across multiple product lines.
- Track and report key metrics on production scheduling, inventory, and customer on-time delivery.
- Oversee inbound logistics for purchased inventory and manage supplier purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing demand with supply constraints, and minimizing excess.
- Negotiate delivery timelines, costs, and handle order adjustments, including managing additional costs (e.g., handling charges).
- Monitor aging inventory and provide early warnings for potential supply issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (manufacturing, sales, customer service) and suppliers to confirm production and shipping schedules.
- Coordinate international purchases to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Participate in improvement initiatives to enhance delivery and planning systems.
- Utilize ERP systems for production scheduling, inventory management, and system maintenance.
- Analyze MRP data, adjusting system parameters to align with production needs.
- Expedite orders as required, ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing.
- Maintain database records for costs, pricing, and part numbers, generating reports as needed.
- Ensure adherence to quality and food safety policies, meeting all applicable standards.

Physical demands and work environment: This role may require standing, walking, and sitting, along with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Moderate noise levels are typical within the work environment.
Annual Salary: $90,000 – $95,000
